Downton Abbey was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.  And although the show didn’t win this year, the stars of Downton Abbey dazzled everyone on the red carpet.

Michelle Dockery left Lady Mary in the dust in this low-cut stunner of a dress.Fabulous frock: Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery looked stunning as she arrived on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet in a monochrome dress on Saturday night

Now that the cast of Downton Abbey has practically finished filming Season Four of the award-winning show, what will the cast do to fill their time?  Sophie McShera is going to Disney World!!!  Well, okay, not exactly going to Disney World but she is about to start filming Disney’s Cinderella.

Sophie McShera, who plays assistant cook Daisy Mason, is heading above stairs to pay on of the evil step sisters, Drizella.  Lily James, who plays the newly introduced Lady Rose in Downton Abbey, will be playing Cinderella in the film.

“It’s very exciting ‘cause I’m going upstairs and Lily’s going downstairs. Tables have turned! I’m gonna be lording it over her. I’m going to be so cruel,” Sophie joked when AccessHollywood.com spoke to her at PBS’ Television Critics Association Summer Tour day last week.”

Kenneth Branagh will be directing the film and Cate Blanchett has been cast at Lady Tremaine, the wicked stepmother.  (Is there really any other kind of stepmother in a Disney film?)  Holliday Grainer (Lucrezia Borgia in The Borgias) is playing Anastasia, the other evil step sister of Cinderella’s.  And you can’t have the story of Cinderella without Prince Charming.  Richard Madden from “Game of Thrones,” will be playing Prince Charming.

“There’s little changes happening now, so I’m not sure where it’s going to go, but it’s the story of Cinderella, we know it and it’s an amazing cast with an outstanding director, so it’s going to be really exciting,” Richard Madden said.

Disney’s Cinderella is expected to be in theaters in 2015.

Downton Abbey, Joanne Froggatt, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Phyllis Logan, Sophie McShera

The cast of Downton Abbey is busy on a press junket for the upcoming season and they have been giving us a few clues here and there – but that will come in other posts.  The most important thing is that the Downton ladies were stunning at a recent event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Michelle Dockery,  Laura Carmichael, Phyllis Logan, Joanne Froggatt, and Sophie McShera shunned their period costumes and glammed it up for the cameras.Glammed up! Michelle Dockery and her female Downton Abbey co-stars let their hair down and donned high heels for a PBS press event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Tuesday

Do you even recognize them all?  It is hard to believe but Mrs. Hughes is in the center and Daisy is on the right end.  I know!!!  Who knew underneath their dark and gloomy service costumes they were hiding such glamour?

Well done, ladies!!!
