What do Ron Weasley and John Bates have in common? On the surface, nothing other than both being English. But upon further digging, their real life counterparts will be co-starring in the upcoming West End production of crime drama, Mojo.
Rupert Grint (known to Potterheads world-wide as Ron Weasley) will play a pill-popping petty crook with Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey‘s own Mr. Bates) and Ben Whishaw (James Bond’s latest gadget wizard Q).
Ian Rickson will direct, and it is said he spoke to Harry Potter director David Yates, who said Rupert had ‘hidden depths’ as a thespian.
The play will start on October 26th at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
